Like Bob, a few months back, I am an Australian Investor who has identified US property worth the time effort and the dollars of my investors to come over and pruchase and manage.
I need a business partnership with a financial institution who understands my needs, and wants to make a healthy profit and business relatonship.
I would like to know if there are any bankers either in the state of NY or elswere in the country who would like to discuss business, and are familiar, or able to deal with us "Australian aliens".
We are prepared to do what it takes to set up an American Company and get a FEI, and any other requirements you may have, just name them! Just like so many, we would like to invest in America, the Great land of opportunity, so come on you guys! please give me some leads!

Well....do you have any partners here that are US residents. Standrad commercial mortgages requires some sort of residence, especially on recourse loans. If you go for larger loans i.e conduit loans, which are non-recourse, citizenship will not really be an issue. You can also go for private financing from non institutional investors. If you have a large project, i may be able to help you but anything under $1.2 million will not work. This was in reference to commercial real estate. Dont know if you are considering residential.
