What is involved in Loans to LLC's? Is it similar to partnerships; obtain partnership (LLC) returns, personal returns and do cash flow on the LLC and the personals?
Commercial Lender
Ususally as long as there is a personal gurantee by oneor mor eof the principles, it dosent make a difference. Mind you, this is for real estate based loans and not just business loans.

If it is for business, then yes you do have to perform the cash flow calculations for the borrowing entity.

For small businesses, a lot of lenders rely on a global cash flow, which accounts for the personal cash flow of the individuals. For large businesses, lenders usually look at the entity alone.

The partnership tax return will be used unless there are financial statements available.
