Admin,

What kind of amortization term is normal for multifamily loans? I'm talking permanent financing. I know with residential it can be up to 30yrs. Is this true with multifamily?

Sincerely,

Newcomer:

Bank lenders usually do up to 25 years amortization. Non-bank lenders are more flexible and can probably go to 30 years.

In our case, we require maturity of 10-years at the most with the 25 year amortization, which means a balloon payment at the end.
Commercial Lender
Yep, for Multifamily, mixeduse, office, retail and warehouse properties we do have 15 year, 20 year and 30 year amortizations avail.
