At one time I ran across a couple hard money lender websites that were wanting to use other peoples good credit score for those that do not have good credit scores. the way it appeared to work is they would have investors with poor scores wanting to borrow hard money, their credit isn't good enough so they will use yours (a good credit score) while doing this you are supposed to get paid for them using your credit score. Does anyone know of the hard money lenders I am looking for and also is this a good idea

Providing financing for one individual while using the personal information of another individual who has no real connection (i.e. not a co-signer, guarantor, co-applicant, etc) would constitute fraud and the companies offering this type of "service" would be suspect at best.

I have never seen this, but it would seem like it might entail some kind of personal guarantee for which the guarantor is compensated?

I have never heard of this either, but it does sound shady.

This certainly could involve mortgage fraud (in the method Rick described), and would probably be risky for the individual being, for lack of a better term, used. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to hear how they pull this off.
