Hi,
I am looking to purchase an existing franchise in the future with a purchase price of anywhere from $100K - $125K, depending on final negotiations. Are there any programs where I can obtain 100% financing or even obtain a program with little money down, maybe 10% or so?
Also, are there any special programs where I can borrow the amount needed to put down? I have excellent credit history but just lacking in the "money down" part.
Thanks!

This is a tough deal to do. 100% financing won't be possible. SBA lenders typically look for 25% to 35% down and can finance the rest as long as there is good cash flow and adequate cross-collateralization.

I see, thanks for the information. What if I were to obtain a consumer unsecured loan? I work for a bank and have excellent credit. Would you think that is something I might be able to use for the 25% - 35% down? Or would the SBA or lending institution see that I have that outstanding debt and decline the use of the borrowed funds for the down payment?

The banks will look at your complete financial picture - you personally and the business as well. As long as there is enough cash flow and collateral, they will give the project serious consideration even with your unsecured loan. I'm sorry I can't be more specific because I dont have more information on you or the business.

We can provide 100% financing on franchises for land takedown, construction, FF&E and softcosts on multiple units. Provided thru a pension fund. Primarily looking for units in excess of $1MM, however, will go below for the right franchise.
