How do I know what my credit score is? I've obtained copies of my credit reports - and have gotten loans (car, mortgage, etc), but never seen my 'score'. Is there a free way to obtain this number?

A new law was passed last year that allows you to get a free annual credit report from each of the three companies. However, the credit score is something that you have to pay for.
Go to
www.annualcreditreport.com and get a free credit report. You will also have the chance to buy the score from each company for less than $10
