I wish to change my career and become a loan broker in Canada. I would like to offer various loan options to my contacts, ranging from personal to commercial loans, and even venture capital if possible. Can anyone give me some advice on finding contacts who will pay a commission to a broker?

My broker is lending to me via an institution who deal solely with independent brokers and they are very competitive.

He told me he can represent almost any bank but the Royal - apparently they won't deal with independents.
