Hello everyone,

I'm not quite sure how I found this site but, I thought this might be a good place to get some information on loans.
My wife and I are thinking of buying a resort in Northern Wisconsin and I was wondering what kind of info you could give me on financing. We have been looking at places between 500,000 and 1.5 mil. Leaning more towards the cheaper ones, of course. I really have no clue about getting a loan for something like this. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as far as what kind of loan I could get or what I need to do first, or what to think about.

Thanks in advance for any and all responses.
Take care
Don

Resorts are tough deals to finance. They are subject to big fluctuations in cash flow due to weather and the economy. Be prepared to put 25% down and have plenty of cash remaining for working capital.

I'm not sure the SBA will finance a resort, but check with the local office in your area at www.sba.gov.

You will need excellent credit, solid historical cash flows on the property & business and experience in the hospitality field.

Thank you, Commercial LO.
I'll take a look at the sba site and see what they have. My credit is good and the properties have a good profit history. Experience in the hospitality field?. Well, Ill have to work on that one.
Thanks again
